In a surprise move, Damon Wilson announced his decision to transfer on January 6. Wilson was expected to start among Georgia’s top seven in 2025 and was figured to be UGA’s best edge rusher.
Wilson was a five-star recruit who signed with Georgia in 2022. Ohio State also heavily pursued Wilson when he was in high school.
