Georgia Bulldogs Redshirt freshman quarterback Jaden Rashada is entering the NCAA transfer portal for the second time in his career, according to ESPN. Pete Thamel. Rashada did not record any statistics for Georgia during the 2024 college football season.
Rashada, a former four-star recruit, is suing Florida Gators coach Billy Napier. The 6-foot-4, 190-pound quarterback began his college career at Arizona State.
Now, Rashada is likely moving to a third team during his college career. Rashada was expected to compete for a starting or backup role with UGA for the 2025 season.
However, Rashada had a mountain to climb. He was behind Gunner Stockton, who started in the Sugar Bowl and played pretty well considering the circumstances. Before the Sugar Bowl, Rashada was losing key backup reps to a true freshman quarterback. Ryan Puglisi.
Georgia has also contacted numerous quarterbacks in the 2025 class and the transfer portal in an attempt to increase its quarterback depth for the 2025 season. Carson Beck recently announced his intention to enter the NFL Draft in 2025, UGA will therefore have a new starter next season.
