Pacers vs. Celtics Eastern Conference Finals Game 1 results according to NBA 2K24
According to our NBA 2K24 simulation, the The Boston Celtics will defeat the Indiana Pacers in the first game by a score of 111-87.. The Pacers played hard in the first quarter, but the Ultimate fell apart throughout the rest of the contest. Meanwhile, Jason Taytum and the Celtics benefited from a healthy dose of offense and defense to secure the opener.
TEAM | Quarter 1 | Quarter 2 | Quarter 3 | Quarter 4 | FINAL |
INDIANA | 26 | 21 | 19 | 21 | 87 |
BOS | 25 | 27 | 31 | 28 | 111 |
Boston took an early 9-3 lead, but Indiana was able to win the 1st quarter. However, their small run of success quickly ended in the second quarter, where the Celtics began to gradually build a big lead. Even though they only led by 5 at the end of the half, it was clear that the Celtics had secured this game.
Boston then dominated Indiana in every quarter and never looked back en route to a dominant victory. Additionally, the team converted more field goals and three-pointers, while only turning the ball over four times. Indiana, meanwhile, turned the ball over 7 times and only gained one point on the TOs.
In terms of player performance, Jayson Tatum won the game ball after scoring 47 points and grabbing 12 rebounds. Additionally, he recorded six assists, two steals, and one block while converting 50% of 3PT shots. No one else on the team scored more than 15 points, but that didn’t matter. The Celtics were able to ride the Tatum train to an easy victory. They will continue to do the same thing in game two and beyond.
As for the Pacers, Tyrese Haliburton played well, but only managed 22 points. His 12 assists and 2 steals certainly contributed to the effort, but it seemed like he was the only one making an impact offensively. Myles Turner also played decently, recording 14 points and 11 rebounds in the game. Regardless, the efforts of both players were not enough to win the first game. The Pacers will need more from the rest of their team if they want to get back into this series.

With this victory, Boston takes a 1-0 lead in the series, which sets the tone for future matchups. They can play one more game at home before traveling to Indiana for Game 3. Ideally, the Celtics want to sweep at home, win at least one away game and finish things off in Boston. Either way, a quick win in this series means more rest time and hopefully fewer injuries.
With this defeat, the Pacers now hope to even the series in the second game. It didn’t help that Boston got some extra rest after their quick win over the Cavaliers. Winning just one away game should boost the morale of the players and fans when they return home for Game 3. Players other than Haliburton need to try harder if their team hopes to beat the Celtics.
In terms of accuracy, we were able to create a custom roster to take out Kristaps Porzingis, who is out due to injury. Sometimes the game crashes when using our custom lists, so we haven’t been able to use them in all previous simulations. However, with only two sets running, it’s much easier to deal with in the event of a crash.
Additionally, we like to adjust the CPU sliders to create more authentic percentage rates and dashboards. Although it’s not perfect, we continue to create better simulations for your enjoyment. And nonetheless, we’re really having fun seeing who NBA 2K24 predicts to win these games.
