Things didn’t go very well for Antonio Brown in recent years. The ancient NFL star is now facing another legal problemadmitting a massive financial problem in his life.

A few years ago, Antonio Brown was widely considered the best receiver in the NFL. He had a stellar career with the The Steelersbut once he left Pittsburgh, his fortunes began to decline.

Following his departure from the The SteelersBrown played for the Patriots and the The Buccaneers. However, he never reached the same level of success as he did in Pittsburgh, encountering numerous problems with his teammates and coaches.

According to the Times Union, Brown owes nearly $3 million to eight different creditors. As a result, he has filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcyA “reorganization” plan allowing him to propose a payment method its creditors without going bankrupt.

“I mean, I’m in deep shit, you know what I mean?” Brown said on The Pivot Podcast. “I just can’t keep up with my debts. You know, it’s all about protecting yourself. But yeah, you know… I’m not broke, but I’m broken. …I just reallocate the debt to take care of the debtors. That’s all I do.

Brown played his final NFL season in 2021. He briefly joined the AFL’s Albany Empirea team that he co-ownershipbut the team was expelled from the league three months later due to accumulate debts.

“You know, Anyone can sue you, take you for what you have“ Brown said. “You know, at this point, I don’t work, I don’t earn millions of dollars where it happens that I can just (pay back) some of that money. So, you know, Chapter 11 talks about restructure money you do so that you can pay off your debts.

Is Antonio Brown Banned From The NFL?

As previously mentioned, Antonio Brown last appeared in the NFL in 2021, playing for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. The wideout was released following a dispute with his former coach Bruce Arians and several of his teammates.
