Florida panthersAmerican Professional ice hockey team based at sunrise, Florida (close Fort Lauderdale), who plays in the east Conference of the National Hockey League (NHL). The Panthers won the Stanley Cup in 2024 and 2025.
At first
The team was founded in 1993 and took its name from the endangered threat Florida Panther (Puma Concolor Couguar). Unlike most extension teams, the panthers were immediately competitive, in a qualification victory for the playoffs during each of their first two seasons.
