Florida football announced that he would play Furman On September 2, 2028, as part of its non-conference program.
The match has a particular meaning for Gators from Florida Coach Billy Napier, who was a four-year servant at Furman from 1998 to 2002 and the double selection of the All-Southern conference as a quarter-arre leaving for the Paladins. Napier led the Paladins to two conference championships and in 2001, the Junior Napier year, qualified for the national championship match of the I-AA division, losing to Montana.
UF and Furman have played nine times since the 1922 season, the last meeting to come in 2011. Florida Has a record of 7-2 against Furman, having won the last seven competitions against the FCS school.
Florida returns to spring football training this week after taking a week off for spring holidays. The Gators will hold his annual professional day to present the former players for the NFL scouts on Thursday and will hold his spring match, the Orange & Blue match, on April 12 at 1 p.m. in the Marais. Entrance is free.
