San Antonio – Todd Golden will become the youngest 42 -year -old coach to win a national championship or Kelvin Sampson will take the crown as the oldest coach to cut the nets.
Golden, 39, and Sampson, 69 Florida (35-4) and Houston (35-4) play Monday (8:50 p.m., CBS) during the National Final Four Championship match.

If the Golden Gators do it, he would be the youngest coach to win the title since Jim Valvano de Nc State did it at 37 in 1983 against Houston. Sampson would go beyond Jim Calhoun from Uconn, who won the national title at the age of 68 in 2011, as the oldest male coach to lead his team to a championship.
Overall, Geno Auriemma, 71, is the oldest coach to win an NCAA title. The Huskies of Auriemma beat the South Carolina on Sunday in the Final Four Female.
