THE Indiana fever confirmed Monday two preseason games ahead of the 2026 WNBA season – the start of which remains uncertain due to ongoing collective negotiations.

Caitlin Clark and the Fever will face the Freedom of New York at the Barclays Center on April 25 in a blockbuster preseason game in itself. But then Indiana will return home to Gainbridge Fieldhouse to host Pagie Bueckers and the Dallas Wings on April 30.

The Fever and the Wings will meet nine days later, on May 9, to open the 2026 regular season.

The Clark-Bueckers matchups are expected to be among the most-watched games of the upcoming season. Over the course of the 44 regular season games, the Fever and Wings will play three times, reinforcing the perception that Bueckers vs. Clark is a budding rivalry on the field.

However, in real life, Bueckers last week pushed back against the notion that she doesn’t like Clark off the court, with both players vying to represent USA Basketball at the FIBA Women’s Basketball World Cup in Germany later this year.

“Everyone had me and Caitlin pinned against each other for a very long time,” Bueckers told Kyle Kelce on I’m not going to lie. “We’re cool, we’re friends.”
