Throughout the season, fantasy baseball writers will often characterize certain ballparks as hitter- or pitcher-friendly. Although we use these broad definitions to save space and maintain the flow of a paragraph, these terms do not always give the complete picture of an approximate situation. Additionally, some authors use the terms incorrectly because they cling to impressions of ballparks that are outdated or were never accurate.

Hitting-Friendly Parks
Coors Field
Colorado’s hitter’s paradise remains the best ballpark by a mile. It improves home runs and batting average while reducing strikeouts. Most of the pitchers should be on Colorado’s bench. Coors could help Rockies offseason additions Willi Castro and Jake McCarthy have their best seasons.

Sutter Health Park
Minor League parks often play well for hitters, making it no surprise that the Athletics’ temporary home is a music box that maximizes power numbers and overall scoring. The move to Sutter Health is the best thing that could have happened to an organization that is loaded with emerging offensive stars, such as Nick Kurtz, Jacob Wilson and Shea Langeliers.
Comerica Park
This one is surprising, because Comerica is generally more of a neutral park. In 2025, it was one of the top five sites for home runs and runs. Hitters are known to have problems in Detroit during the cold spring weather, but the park has played very well for hitters during the warmer months. Personally, I’ll need more evidence in 2026 before considering Comerica as a true hitter-friendly venue. This is something to keep an eye on as the season progresses.

Dodgers Stadium
Many fans are so busy attributing the Dodgers’ offense to their tremendous talent that they overlook the contributions of a home ballpark that has become the best in baseball at producing home runs. The happy nature of Dodger Stadium is another reason to want Kyle Tucker on your 2026 roster.
Oriole Park at Camden Yards
Camden Yards ranked second in home run induction, which led to a fifth place finish in overall park factor. The changes to the outfield wall have had significant effects, which is good news for new Orioles, such as Taylor Ward and Pete Alonso.

Pitcher-Friendly Parks
T-Mobile Park
T-Mobile is one of the best sites for pitchers every year because it not only suppresses runs but also emphasizes strikeouts. Thanks in part to a historic season by Cal Raleigh, the Mariners ranked ninth in runs scored (766) last season. The club last scored over 768 points in 2007, meaning that even with a talented group, their attack could be hampered by their park and take a bit of a dip this year.
Globe Life Park
Globe Life has quickly become one of the toughest parks in baseball for hitters. Corey Seager still managed to thrive, but players such as Marcus Semien, Joc Pederson, Jake Burger, Adolis García, and Jonah Heim have all had disappointing fantasy seasons as members of the Rangers in recent years. Fantasy managers shouldn’t get too carried away with projections of Texas hitters, including newcomer Brandon Nimmo.

Progressive field
The combination of Progressive Field and Cleveland’s mediocre roster should allow the Guardians to finish near the bottom of the league in points scored for a second straight year. This is another reason why I suggest being wary of investing too much in José Ramírez, who is extremely talented but must overcome some limiting factors this year.
Petco Park
Petco has long been known as a launcher park. There isn’t much to gain from this selection from a fantasy standpoint, as the Padres didn’t add many fantasy-relevant players this offseason.
PNC Park
The Bucs’ home park plays well for doubles and triples, but in 2025 it was the toughest park in baseball to hit a home run. In fact, his park HR factor of 66 was well below 29th total (77, Busch Stadium). The Pirates added a trio of power hitters this offseason, Brandon Lowe, Marcell Ozuna and Ryan O’Hearn, who could be affected by their new site.

Myths dispelled
— American Family Field in Milwaukee is largely considered a hitter’s park, but leaned slightly toward pitchers last year.
— Cincinnati’s Great American Ball Park continues to emphasize home runs, but it’s an average park for the overall offense. The same can be said about Yankee Stadium.
—Oracle Park is considered one of the best venues for pitchers, but it was in the middle of the pack last season. However, this remains a difficult park to succeed.

— Citi Field was one of the most favorable parks for left-handed hitters, but bottom of the list for right-handed hitters. Unfortunately, three of the Mets’ hottest newcomers, Bo Bichette, Marcus Semien and Luis Robert Jr., are hitting from the right side.

— Fenway Park is slightly favorable to right-handed hitters but one of the best parks in baseball for left-handed hitters, thanks to the pesky pole. Unfortunately, Boston’s newest roster members, Willson Contreras and Caleb Durbin, are hitting from the right side.
— Chase Field and Rogers Center had some similarities last year, as both parks were favorable to right-handed hitters and neutral to left-handed hitters. Fortunately, Toronto newcomer Kazuma Okamoto and D-back addition Nolan Arenado bat from the right side.
