College football fans aren’t feeling the new version of “Comin’ To Your City.” The new theme for ESPN’s “College GameDay” debuted Saturday and sparked a largely negative reaction on social media.
Darius Rucker, Lainey Wilson and The Cadillac Three have recorded the new version of “Comin’ To Your City”. Big & Rich’s version has been featured on College GameDay for the past 16 seasons. The country duo announced in August that they were passing the torch.
A new season meets a new anthem?
College GameDay is BACK and better than ever!

College GameDay is live in Charlotte from Romare Bearden Park near Bank of America Stadium, the site of South Carolina-North Carolina Border War #21. Rucker, a South Carolina super fan, is Saturday’s choice of celebrity guests.
An abbreviated version of “GameDay” was broadcast from the studio ahead of Week 0 last Saturday. Lee Corso was absent from last week’s studio show but is present in Charlotte, along with Rece Davis, Kirk Herbstreit, Desmond Howard, Pat McAfee and the rest of the crew.
