A celebration of sustainability is being organized this year at Nitto ATP Finals in Turin.

At the Pala Alpitour Fan Village, visitors can discover the initiatives of title sponsor Nitto in promoting environmental causes and reducing CO2 emissions. Interactive games, a quiz and participation prizes are offered to help fans engage with one of the most important topics of our time.

“Things like this help to raise awareness about it among people who don’t think about it much or aren’t aware of it,” said Sandra Müller, a German tennis fan whose favorite players are Carlos Alcaraz And Stefanos Tsitsipas. “This allows more people to be involved in the topic of sustainability.”

In addition to the possibility of taking a photo with a replica of the Nitto ATP Finals trophy, visitors to the Nitto stand can participate in a Nitto survey, obtain a Nitto ATP Finals logo face sticker made from the company’s skin-friendly adhesive, and play a reflective “BATAK” game, in which they must press buttons to simulate CO2 collection. Participants then receive tokens, which can be exchanged for a prize from a “Giant Gacha” gumball machine.

Fans visiting the Nitto booth can also learn more about the Nitto ATP Finals Torino Green Project, which aims to offset the city of Turin’s CO2 emissions, while supporting the development and regeneration of green spaces around the city.

The Fan Village is not the only one promoting a sustainable lifestyle on the Pala Alpitour site. Nitto’s “Internet of Things” trash cans are being used, for the third year in a row, to demonstrate an innovative waste sorting system. Nitto also donated 6,000 paper napkins, made from its proprietary plastic-free compostable material, for use throughout the tournament venue.

“I think it’s great that we’re looking into this issue because we haven’t always heard about it as much as concerns at sporting events like this,” said Kimberley Yap, a visiting fan from Malaysia . “So I think it’s great that Nitto is doing this.”
