With less than a month until the first college football games of the 2023 season, ESPN unveiled its new anthem for the season on Tuesday.
This year’s song is Post Malone’s “Something Real,” which was featured on his new album “AUSTIN,” released Friday. The network revealed the choice as part of a highlight video posted on social media Tuesday, intended to drum up excitement for the new season. The video also highlighted some major storylines for the upcoming season, including Georgia’s quest for a third straight national championship and Alabama looking to get back into the College Football Playoff.
This will give you morale for the season:
“Collaborating with ESPN to use my music to get fans excited about college football is a cool feeling,” Post Malone said in a press release. “Something Real captures the emotion and passion that sports represent, and the excitement that fans feel every week, and it only gets me ready for football season.”
Needless to say, fans were excited about this announcement.
We’re officially one step closer to college football season. Fans will hear the new soundtrack during some of the highest-profile games in Week 1, including Florida vs. Utah, North Carolina vs. South Carolina and LSU vs. Florida State.
