Dutch Christian Tennis coach Lynn Bender wins the National Honor Usta

Lynn Bender, Dutch Christian Tennis coach, was honored by the United States Tennis Association with a national prize for its role in the growth of wheelchair tennis.

Bender From Zealand, was honored by the Brad Parks Award at the Annual meeting and annual conference of the USTA 2025, which was held in Carlsbad, California, awarded in 2002 by the USTA and the International Tennis Hall of Fame, the Brad Parks Award is awarded to a group or to an individual who promotes tennis in a rolling chair and offers the players Programs. The Prize honors the founder of the sport and the temple of fame 2010 Brad parks

“The Brad Parks Award was created for people like Lynn, who have devoted a large part of their tennis life to growth and success that wheelchair tennis has experienced, and will continue for many years to come,” said Theodore Loehrke, Managing Director, Partnership section, USTA. “A huge” thank you “to Lynn, and his dedication to his family, his passion for tennis, but in particular, tennis in a wheelchair!”

Bender has played tennis all his life, opening doors along the way so that the disabled athletes are also involved in the sport of a lifetime. Bender has married her husband, Curt, who has been a wheelchair tennis athlete for years, which has led her to get deep into the community of wheelchair tennis.

Bender has wore a variety of coaches hats, as a certified professional, head coach of the Holland Tennis team Christian High School, coach tennis coach in wheelchair and enthusiastic camp instructor at the annual camps of the USTA / ITF Cruyff foundation, teacher tennis to children around the world.

She also participated and captain a team from the USTA League for many years, in addition to co-founding the Grand Rapids Wheelchair Sports Association for non-profit, as tournament director in the USTA section of Grand Rapids Usta and ITF and being a dedicated member of the USTA Midwest, and a member of the National Committee of the USTA National WHELCHAIR. Lynn really did everything in tennis sport.
