The senior quarter of Penn State Drew Allar hopes to bring the Nittany Lions back to the match for the title Big Ten this season. A major obstacle is Oregon No. 6, which visits Happy Valley on Saturday evening.

ALLAR has passed for 6,928 yards with 57 affected and only 11 interceptions during its four seasons in Penn State. But before becoming the star quarter of the Nittany Lions, he played the secondary.

“My father (Kevin) was my football coach for young people and he didn’t want me to play the quarter-back. We didn’t want it to be perceived because my father was the coach. In addition, I was one of the older children, so I ended up playing in the back and blocking (Luke) Petrowski and Andrew Gormley.”

ALLAR has played its four years of high school at Medina High School, but perhaps what is more impressive is that it did not start Up to the last four games in the second year. where he obtained the starting work in the second year.

During its first two seasons in Medina, ALLAR launched 4,764 yards with 49 affected. He had his best season as a senior, passing for 4,444 yards and 48 affected with only seven interceptions. He also added 382 yards to the ground and eight affected.

At the end of his senior camapign, he was appointed Mr. Football de l’Ohio, an annual prize awarded to the best player in the state high school.
