Summer. Baseball. Dodgers Dogs. And… pizza? The Dodgers are preparing to attend spring training in Arizona in a few weeks. But first, players and club representatives tour the organization’s annual “Community Love” tour.
All winter, every time Dave Roberts had a camera in his face, he was asked tough questions about his ball club and its failure to make the 2022 playoffs. At California Pizza Kitchen in Manhattan Beach, California , Dave had a few more meatballs.
However, it was quite a controversial question…
Does pineapple belong on pizza?
“I’m going to say yes. I think the way things have gone in our world, it’s kind of what you like. So there are no hard and fast rules. I spent three and a half years in Hawaii, so I’m a bit partial to Hawaiian pizza.
So what’s going on Dave’s pizza?
“I took a little pepperoni, sausage, arugula, but added a little sweetness with that pineapple.”
Dodger great Eric Karros added his thoughts on the subject. Does pineapple belong on pizza?
“100%. I’ll tell you why…because this is the one I made,” Karros said, pointing to his pizza, “and it has pineapple on it.”
Boom.
Baseball can’t come soon enough.
