Dillon Brooks will rest on Friday evening when his rockets face the Thunder, serving a suspension of a match for having reached his 16th technical fault of the season.
Brooks is a defensive catalyst for rockets with an average of 13.9 points and 3.7 rebounds per game. We will miss OKC.
This 16th technique came against jazz on Wednesday, when he tried to go back Collin Sexton, and when Brooks went to shoot on Sexton, removed the ball. As part of the Brooks movement, he extended his right leg, which kicked Sexton in the area of the groin. This has earned Brooks a technique in Brooks, and although he hoped that the League cancels Joe Dumars, executive vice-president, manager of basketball operations, did not do so.
Once a player reaches 16 technical faults, he faces a suspension. He will face an additional suspension of a match for two techniques which he collects after the 16th.
Brooks is the second player to reach 16 technical faults and must serve a suspension this season, Anthony Edwards was the other.
