Philadelphia (AP) – The 34 points of Rahsool Diggins led the Massachusetts on room 78-55 Sunday.
Diggins went 13 out of 20 on the field (7 for 13 of the 3-point beach) for the Minutesmen (11-13, 6-5 Atlantic 10 Conference). Jaylen Curry scored 13 points and added six rebounds. Daniel Hankins-Sanford pulled 4 out of 10 on the field and 2 for 3 of the free throw line to finish with 10 points.
Corey McKeithan finished with 17 points for explorers (12-12, 4-8). Daeshon Shepherd added 10 points and seven rebounds for the room. Tunde Vahlberg Fasasi finished with 10 points.
Umass took the lead with 4:22 to play in the first half and did not give it up. Diggins led their team by scoring 15 points in the first half to help the minutemen at 35-31 at the break. Umass extended his advance at 59-41 during the second half, fueled by a 9-0 race. Diggins scored a 19 point top in the second half when their team closed victory.

The two teams will play on Wednesday. Umass welcomes Davidson and the room takes place on the road to play in Saint Joseph (PA).
