The Browns sign the wide receiver / turnr of the Carter to a one -year contract, Jordan Schultz of Fox Sports Reports. Carter will receive nearly $ 800,000 guaranteed.
Carter, who will be 32 next month, has played 13 games for the Bears last season. He saw the action on 137 offensive snaps and 106 on special teams, catching nine assists for 72 yards and on average 9.3 yards out of 17 clearance covers and 31.9 yards out of 15 kick -off returns.
Carter entered the NFL in 2015 but has not seen time to play before 2018. Since then, he has played games with Eagles, Texans, Bears, Commanders, Chargers and Raiders.
Carter appeared in 107 games with 21 departures and at 117 catches for 1,331 yards and six affected. It has an average of 9.7 yards out of 149 clearance covers and 23.5 yards during 133 kick -off returns.
