The male basketball at Dayton University has moved away in the second half to beat Fordham.

Malachi Smith, a native of the Bronx, led five Dayton Flyers in two figures with 18 points as they won, 93-76. He also collected five assists and went 3-3 from the three-point beach.
UD pulled 53% of the soil (29-54), 57% of which in the second period.
Javon Bennett added 16 points while Zed Key and Enoch Cheeks each had 14. Amaël the Etang scored the first seven points of the match and finished with 11.
The flyers improved at 17-8 in total and 7-5 in the Atlantic 10.

The match was also 48-48 at halftime when Bennett started the second half with a rider. Smith scored 10 consecutive points to put Dayton in advance, 60-55 with 15:22 to play.
Posh Alexander’s Trey extended the two-digit advance, 70-60, with 9:48 to play.
Cheeks added six consecutive points and the three in Bennett increased the advantage to 83-70. UD never looked back.
The next Flyers match is on Saturday when they welcome Duquesne at 2:30 p.m. at UD Arena.
