Davis Love III, the Winner of the 1997 PGA championship Who won 21 victories on the PGA Tour, suggested that a way of solving the golf liv problem was to start a boycott.
Love told Sports Illustrated on Friday that he was angry with the way Golf liv was able to seize PGA Tour players and in turn throw things like the Ryder Cup and Presidents Cup in disarray. He said he could predict a strike among PGA Tour players if golf golf competitors were allowed to play in majors.
“Well, here is the biggest lever, and it’s not the pretty lever,” said World Golf Hall of Famer. “But if a group of veterans and a group of best current players align with 150 guys from the tour, and we say:” Guess what? We do not play “, that solves it, right? If Liv plays in the United States, we do not play. If they continue the court, and they win, well, we do not play. You know, there will not be a US Open. It is like a basic strike.”

Liv golf players were allowed to participate in the PGA championship, the United States Open and the open championship despite their suspension indefinitely of the PGA Tour. Golfers who resigned from the PGA Tour would not be authorized to play in PGA Tour events as non-member via an exemption from the sponsor or any other category of eligibility.
The suspensions have questioned the eligibility of the Ryder Cup and the presidents of Golfers of Liv in question, because they would need qualification points won in PGA Tour events. Henrik Stenson went so far as to resign from his captain Ryder Cup to join Liv Golf.

LOVE said he had tried to convince the golfers to jump the ship and asked if they agreed to never play in a Cup of Presidents or again Ryder Cup.

The Presidents Cup is scheduled for September 19 to 25 in Charlotte. Love is the captain of the American team and Trevor Immelman is the captain of the international team.
