The forecast calls for rain, wind and temperatures in the 50s in Green Bay on Sunday afternoon, and Lions head coach Dan Campbell says he’s excited about the opportunity to face the Packers someday where his players will be dirty.
Campbell said the Lions will wear white pants and jerseys and he looks forward to seeing grass stains on his players’ uniforms.
“How exciting to be able to play these kinds of games,” Campbell said. “We’ll be out in the elements, which is great, it’s one of those you hope for. I think we’ll be all white so we’ll have the grass stains and everything. It’ll be good old football, the way it’s supposed to be played.
Rain and wind could favor the Packers over the Lions, who have played all of their games indoors this season, but Campbell says he’s embracing the challenge.
“It’s a step backwards,” Campbell said. “We are very comfortable playing with the elements.”
