The Motorsports Hall of Fame of America (MSHFA) honors runners and notable people in industry in the United States. Before the 50th race of the Grand Prix of Long Beach, they announced the class of next year, which affects several forms of racing from one ocean to another.
The 38th annual enthronement ceremony will take place in Daytona Beach, Florida, next March, where the double winner of Daytona 500, Dale Earnhardt Jr., who spent 15 consecutive years as the most popular driver of Nascar should be inducted. It will not be the first temple of the fame he was part of Dale Jr. joined the Nascar Hall of Fame in 2021 and the Texas Motorsports Hall of Fame in 2017.

He will be joined by the director of the NHRA competition, Steve Gibbs, who spent 25 years organizing more than 400 events, and the world champion of MotoGP 2000, Kenny Roberts Jr., who is already a member of the Hall of Fames des Racing Motorcycle Racing. Roberts Jr. and the late Nicky Hayden are the only two Americans to have won a MotoGP title in the 21st century.

The list also includes John Morton, an accomplished sports car runner who also has two class victories at Le Mans 24 and a class in class at Rolex 24 in Daytona. The legend of Sprint Car Racing Sammy Swindell also joins. Triple world champion of Outlaws, the many Swindell achievements include victories in the nationals of Knoxville, Kings Royal and Chile Bowl.

Finally, there is the most victorious motor boat driver in the history of unlimited hydroplane Dave Villwock and the legendary journalist for car sports Pete Lyons.
“Once again, our voters have chosen a group of large motor sports,” said MSHFA president George Levy. “True” Heroes of Horsepower “which will be admired today and will inspire the champions of tomorrow. The 2026 class is another group of revered and accomplished runners, and we look forward to welcoming them to the renowned temple of American motor sport next March. ”
Among the voting committee was the Race Icons Mario Andretti, Chip Ganassi, Richard Petty, Rusty Wallace, Don Prudhomme, Scott Parker, Don Garlits and Tom d’Eath.
