Indiana fever Star Sophie Cunningham dropped a one-word reaction via Instagram on Friday, as Trinity Rodman struck a major deal while making her decision public.

Washington Spirit football star Rodman signed a record three-year annual contract worth $2 million on Thursday.

As WNBA CBA negotiations with league continue with no end in sightRodman’s latest deal with Adidas is a nice surprise and Cunningham was all for it.

The Fever star reacted to the moment by reposting the celebratory Adidas post featuring Rodman on her Instagram Story.

“YES SSSS,” Cunningham captioned the post.

Rodman’s latest deal will make her the highest paid Spirit of Washington star as well as football player in the world. Now, she will stay with the club until 2028 after months of uncertainty over her future in the NWSL.

Sophie Cunningham previously threw shade at the WNBA over her salary

Cunningham launched a subtle attack on the WNBA salary scale, then launched a bold vision of a different career path. She made the comment during an appearance on a Dec. 21 episode of “Sundae Conversation” with Caleb Pressley.

“Not plan A, project B” she said. “I think you need the league because that’s what gives you the platform to have all these fans. … Maybe Plan B should support that platform (OnlyFans).”

The WNBA and the players’ union, the WNBPA, are still negotiating a new collective bargaining agreement to replace the previous agreement, which expired after several extensions. WNBPA President Nneka Ogwumike wants a fair deal that values players appropriately.

However, the league and players have yet to reach an agreement and have now officially entered a “status quo” period, with the current collective bargaining agreement still in effect.

The players would like around 30% of the league’s gross revenue, while the league’s offer is closer to 70% of net revenue. As things stand, the two sides remain far apart on revenue sharing and other major talking points.
