There is a gamble of sorts in entering the transfer portal, and for Notre Dame cornerback Cree Thomasit paid off.
The Arizona freshman will return closer to home as he committed to Colorado Buffaloes according to Hayes Fawcett of On3. This is a logical place for a cornerback to land, as head coach Deion Sanders is considered one of the greatest of all time.

The shine wore off when he arrived in Boulder, as the Buffaloes went just 3-9 last season. A lot of their roster construction happens in the portal, and getting a former 3-star prospect makes perfect sense for them.
Hopefully, Thomas gets to see the field more than he did with the Irish, as the depth in the secondary along with the impressive incoming recruiting class has him moving on. We wish the Crees the best in Colorado.
