The final College Football Playoff rankings revealed Sunday can go one of two ways. There could be no drama if the four remaining undefeated won their respective conference championship games and earned a spot in the semifinals. Chaos could also ensue if one or more of the states of Georgia, Michigan, Washington and Florida lose.
Many questions would arise. How would each scenario play out? Could Georgia be left behind with a loss? Is there still a way for Ohio State to get back on the field for the second year in a row?
Many teams are not in playoff contention faced coaching changes. This season’s carousel isn’t as robust as previous years, but there have already been significant hires at Texas A&M, MIchigan State and Mississippi State. Who did well and who perhaps missed the mark when hiring?
USA TODAY Sports’ Dan Wolken and Paul Myerberg discuss these topics and more ahead of championship weekend in this week’s version of the College Football Fix.
