It’s bowling season, and there are more bowls than one Williams Sonoma. A total of 41 will be played in the coming weeks, ranging from prestige and legacy games to the “Snoop Dogg Arizona Bowl.” Surprisingly, a “Snoop Dogg Arizona Bowl” is not a weed.
It’s an opportunity for teams to end their years with a little prestige. Even a low-level bowl game solidifies a school’s reputation, which can make recruiting easier. As meaningless as it may seem, they all have a purpose. Of course, the real event is the College Football Playoff, and that’s where all eyes will be on.
