THE March madness The men’s title clash begins after 9 p.m. ET each year.

But it didn’t stop basketball fans to complain about the timing of the highly anticipated match.

Many rushed to social media to express their shock after realizing the match would continue late into Monday night on the East Coast.

“Why in the Flying F is the #NCAAChampionship alert at 9:20am?!!!” we wrote.

“UConn and Purdue tip off at 9:20 p.m. Eastern? How does the conversation go in that room when they decide it’s a good idea?” » another added.

“How to ruin what has been a fun and exciting #MarchMadness…start the #NationalChampionship game at 9:20 p.m. EST. Dumb,” said a third.

“He who continues to make the decision to launch the NCAA The championship game at 9:20 p.m. on a work night needs to be stopped,” one wrote.

The March Madness men’s championship clash begins much later than the women’s.

South Carolina and Iowa begin their title fight Sunday at 3 p.m. ET.

The Gamecocks finally beat Caitlin Clark’s Hawkeyes 87-75 to finish the season undefeated.

Charles Barkley slams live TV ‘idiots’, says ‘he’s just a fool giving his opinion’ in March Madness speech

Championship matches in other competitions also usually start much earlier.

The 2024 College Football Playoff finale was scheduled to begin at 7:30 p.m. ET.

And last year’s World Series as well NBA and Stanley Cup Final games were scheduled to begin no later than 8:30 p.m. ET.

UCONN’S OBJECTIVES

UConn will challenge for the national championship again after beating San Diego State in last year’s title game.

The five-time champions have a chance to become the first men’s team to go back since Florida in 2007.

Historically, the Huskies rarely lose once they reach the semifinals.

They enter the Purdue game with an 11-1 record in the Final Four and title games.

Meanwhile, the Boilermakers have yet to win the March Madness crown.

Additionally, Monday’s matchup marks the program’s first appearance in a national title game in 55 years.

This year’s Final Four and title contests will take place at State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona.
