Clemson Football Will hire the former coach of the East Carolina Mike Houston as a defensive analyst, according to Pete Thamel d’Espn.
Houston led the Pirates For six seasons from 2019 to 2024. He was dismissed after a 3-4 start last season. He had a file of 27-38 at the East Carolina.
Houston began to train in 1994, having stays in Lycées de Caroline du Nord, including 10 seasons at Roberson in Asheville, before reaching the ranks of the college in 2006. He was a defensive coordinator for Brevard, a division program III, in 2006 and Lenoir-Rhyne, a Division II program, from 2007 to 2010.
Houston became a head coach in 2011, leading Lenoir-Rhyne then The Citadel (2014-15), James Madison (2016-18) and Caroline de l’Est. He won an FCS national championship with James Madison in 2016 and has a record for career of 106-62.
Houston will work with The new defensive coordinator of Clemson Tom Allen. Houston is the second analyst to be hired by Clemson in the past five days, joining an attacking analyst LONNIE GALLOWAY.
Clemson begins spring training on February 28 and his spring match is April 5 (1 p.m. HE) at the Memorial Stadium.
