Wyndham Clark struck a 64 Sept-Bas to take ahead of a blow after the first round of the Phoenix Open.
The US Open 2023 champion struck seven stews in a Bogey round at TPC Scottsdale.
The other Americans Taylor Moore and Lee Hodges are equally in the second row out of six sous.
Clark’s performance occurred after the disappointing defense of the title at Pebble Beach last week, where he finished the 73rd.
“I haven’t played my best golf in recent weeks, so it’s nice to have a clean turn where we have done a lot of good things,” said Clark.
“I was really patient and I sort of attenuated my way in the Tour.”
Six players, including Nicolai Hojgaard, from Denmark, are two strokes behind Clark.
Scottie Scottie Scheffler global, playing his second event of the year after having undergone surgery Cut your hand over a broken wine glass, is five years after a 69.
Nine players failed to finish their turn with a suspended game for darkness.
They will end their turn when the game resume at 3:15 p.m. GMT on Friday.
