Coach Scott Setterfield has made the cincinnati bearcates work in 2025 since the second week of March with a spring vacation after the first training sessions. After the public rally on Saturday at the Nippert Stadium, the bearcates will have three other practices.

They will adjourn the team at work after that until the summer when the preparation will start for the Opening of the season against the Nebraska at the Arrowhead stadium in Kansas City on August 28. The official Nippert opener is the following week on September 6. UC will have seven home games in addition to the neutral game of Nebraska where they will serve as a team at home and in office 75% of the door in a negotiated agreement which could bring the bearcates to $ 3 million.

The quarter of a quarter of Cincinnati Bearcats, Samaj Jones (5), jumps in the goals of the red and black game from last year. This Saturday, the UC spring showcase will include a controlled melee.

As for what to expect, it will not be a traditional spring game. However, there will be a live scrum and full pads.

“We have not struck this spring much, but it will be the most we are approaching,” he said. “It is essentially a melee organized more than a practice. We will go out and do a few things early, but it will be a lot of work 11 against 11. Fans will be able to see a lot of guys running to play games on both sides of the ball.”

The quarter-arre, Brendan Sorsby and Brady Lichtenberg know the offensive and have obtained many representatives, so Saterfield said that the second-year quarter Samaj Jones should see a lot of action.

“We will try to look more towards the guys deep, young players,” said Setterfield.

Among the receptors, you will notice 6 feet 5 inches Jeff Caldwell which was transferred from FCS Lindenwood. He made parts of all varieties.

“He needs to get representatives,” said Satterfield. “It did not come here for a long time. We will get it out and get it and see if it can run and make some games. People will discover it sooner.”

Tawee Walker is a 5 -foot 9 inch and 218 pounds ball carrier who played last season at Wisconsin. With an additional year of eligibility, he joined the cincinnati bearcates. Walker previously played Oklahoma. While with the Sooners, he played against the bearcates in 2023.

Among the runners, with Evan Pryor, Manny Covey and Chance Williams Returning, Wisconsin Transfer Tawee Walker Attracted Setterfield’s attention.

“I am pleasantly satisfied,” said Satterfield. “I thought he would be a solid back, but he has somehow turned heads. He has great speed, he can make the guys miss and he has 220 pounds. He has sweet hands, he goes hard in special team exercises. He was an excellent addition to our offense. The competition in this room was really good. Evan was good and Manny was good.”

The first throw is at 3 p.m. for the bearcates that work with the Sun Devils of Tempe. The Arizona State won 32 games last season like the Bearcates. The two teams have similar records this year. UC has consecutive victories from the Big 12 series with UCF and Texas Tech and will try to remove the Sun Devils on Sunday.

“They have played hard in the past two weeks,” said UC coach Jordan Bischel. “High level program after the high -level program. You should adopt this, I think that’s what you want. Each game is difficult. This is what makes it fun.”

Players to watch include the undefeated launcher Nathan Taylor, a West Clermont graduate, and the Kerrington Cross inner field player who struck above 0.400 last week.

“It’s a bit like it was not only a tear, it is really very good,” said Bischel about Cross. “When you do it for 30 consecutive games or anything, his preparation is incredible. He will not be the most” toolsy “guy when he arrives at professional baseball, but he will be one of the most devoted and locked up and that is what makes him special.”

A three -point circuit from Kerrington Cross (2) helped the Cincinnati Bearcats baseball team eliminate No. 18 Louisville on Tuesday, March 25.

The tight wing Joe Royer and the Nose Plateon Dontay Corleone will throw the first throws before the Reds play at 6:40 pm against the pirates. It is also Elly de la Cruz Switch-Hitter Bobblehead Night if you need more incitement. Last season saw Jillian Hayes from Loveland and Luke Kandra from Elder Luke Throwing Pitchs, so the local angle continues with Royer and Corleone this spring.

UC Ball and Brew
