Waialae Country Club in Honolulu, site of the 2025 Sony Open in Hawaii, was originally designed by famed Gilded Age architect Seth Raynor and opened in 1927 along Kāhala Beach.
The course, which first hosted the PGA Tour in 1965, will play this year to 7,044 yards with a par of 70. Please note: the standard routing is modified for the Sony Open, with the nines being reversed to better take advantage of the picturesque sunsets. The nine are shown below in the order in which they are played during the Tour event.
The private course has undergone multiple reconstructions, primarily in the 1960s, when a hotel was added to the property. Architects Robert Trent Jones Sr., Desmond Muirhead and Rick Smith have made changes to the course over the decades and, more recently, Tom Doak has worked to restore some of Raynor’s original design concepts.
