Last month Lincoln Riley and the USC football program made the headlines when they announced The hiring of Chad Bowden as a new managing director. Previously the director general of Notre Dame, the Trojan horses were able to steal Bowden away from their longtime archrival.
On Wednesday, at the press conference of the National Day of the USC signing, Bowden met the media for the first time as Trojan. During his interview, he explained an overview of the reasons why he decided to leave Notre Dame in order to be part of the Riley staff at the USC.
“Notre Dame did everything they could to keep me there,” said Bowden. “USC for me, it meant more for me. When I was a child, I looked at Matt Leinart, Reggie Bush, all these guys.”
For the USC fans, this is certainly an incredible thing to hear. Bowden had a very good situation in Notre -Dame – he was in charge of the staff of the players for a team who made the way to the national championship match. The fact that he chose to leave South Bend and join the horses of Troy certainly speaks both of his respect for the school as well as his confidence in Lincoln Riley and the program that the USC built in Los Angeles.
Bowden has said all the good things so far. Now he has to go hard on the recruitment path and safeguard what he said with his actions.
