For much of the 2023-24 NBA season, the Celtics were expected to play basketball well into the playoffs. If Boston doesn’t reach this point, it would be a disappointment for a team that won 64 games in the regular season.
The same cannot be said for the Pacers. Indiana entered the NBA playoffs as the No. 6 seed, narrowly managing to avoid the play-in tournament. The team has faced a rocky road thus far, one that has gone through the No. 3 Bucks and then the No. 2 Knicks.

The Pacers and Celtics had a series of close seasons, with Boston ultimately claiming a 3-2 advantage. The game promises to be a high-scoring one, with both teams having reached at least 100 in every meeting so far this season. Boston had the largest margin of victory between the two teams, winning 155-104 on November 1.
