According to our NBA 2K24 simulation, the The Boston Celtics will defeat the Cleveland Cavaliers in Game 3 by a score of 105-98. Both teams remained close throughout the game, but Boston ultimately prevailed thanks to a dominant third quarter. The Cavaliers couldn’t find a way to come back as the Celtics left them behind in defeat.

Cleveland’s biggest problem was turnovers, as the team only forced one, while allowing 9. The Celtics were able to lose another 13 points due to careless errors on the part of the Cavaliers . Additionally, the team was unable to force any blocks and only forced one steal. It was a very unimpressive day for the team defensively. The one that cost them Game 3.
In fact, the Celtics didn’t play very well. However, a third-quarter surge allowed the team to outplay Cleveland and take a convincing lead. Boston never looked back and earned a solid victory in Game 3. Additionally, the team had six more steals, as well as four more blocks, showing how effective their defense was. Overall, Boston played well enough to leave the stadium with a smile on their face.
In terms of player performance, Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown win the points here. Both players each dropped 29 points, with Tatum adding 9 rebounds to the mix. While not crazy, Al Horford also recorded a solid double-double that saw him score 10 points and grab 10 rebounds. He was also able to convert both of those three-point attempts. Overall, it was a solid, if not insane, performance from the Celtics.
The Cavaliers were led by Evan Mobley, who had 24 points and 12 rebounds. Donovan Mitchell failed to live up to expectations, converting only one of nine three-point attempts and finishing the game with just 21 points. The rest of the Cavaliers roster was nonexistent, with no one else scoring double-digit points. It was an embarrassing day in The Land. They will have to make serious adjustments to correct what we saw on the virtual field.

With this victory, Boston bounced back from an ugly loss in Game 2. The team knows it has what it takes to win, but it still has a long way to go. However, another Cleveland win for Game 4 would really set the tone for the series. Can Boston put an end to it quickly and rest its starters? Or will Cleveland really give them their money’s worth?
With this loss, the Cavaliers once again surrender a series lead to the Celtics. The team hoped to take advantage of their victory on the road, but had to settle for the loss. But they know what they have to do to win. If they make the necessary adjustments, the Cavaliers can beat the Celtics. It will just take a lot of blood, sweat and tears.
In terms of accuracy, we couldn’t completely eliminate players like Kirstaps Porzingis or Jarrett Allen. Trying to create custom lists resulted in game crashes and technical difficulties. So we limited their playing time by removing them from the starting rotation. Otherwise, we think the scoreboard and shot conversion percentages look accurate.
