Match 3 recap
For the first time in the series, we saw all the stars playing like stars in the third game. Luka did his job as he has every game, but Kyrie finally made an appearance when his team needed it most. He had 20 in the first half and faced Jayson Tatum who, like Irving, finally had the kind of game we expected in the Finals. During the first two quarters, the lead varied, but The Celtics made their first six field goals coming out of halftime and went 14/20 from the field in the third quarter to push the lead to 21 early in the 4th quarter. Kyrie Irving would bring his team back from the dead and cut the deficit to just one point, but Luka Doncic fouled out with over 4:00 to play and the Celtics would end up holding off the Mavs. Tatum had 31, Brown had 30, 8 and 8 to lead the C’s ahead of Kyrie and Luka who had 62 points combined.
