Caitlin Clark and Angel Reese will have two of their matches for the first time in prime time on a national level in the history of the League.
The games of June 7 and August 9 between Indiana fever and Chicago sky will be presented on CBS. The two games are on Saturday evening.
The WNBA will have more than 175 games broadcast on several regular season platforms, including 13 on ABC. The network will have a double opening weekend of Las Vegas against New York and Chicago against Indiana on May 17.
“The WNBA comes out of a 2024 season during which an incredible basketball and countless memorable performances paved the way for the WNBA to offer a record season,” said WNBA commissioner Cathy Engelbert. “Now, with so much excitement around the movement of players that took place this winter thanks to agencies and free trades, WNBA broadcasting and streaming partners in 2025 will highlight the league superstars, rising stars and essential matches like never before.”
Clark and fever will have the most televised or broadcast appearances at the national level with 41 games. Ten of them will be on ABC or ESPN and eight on ion.
Las Vegas is the next one with 33 games presented nationally while the defending champion New York has 32. The expansion Golden State Valkyries will have 17 matches on national television.
ESPN will have 13 regular season games and ABC will also display all the eliminatory competitions. Ion will have 50 games on Friday evening with doublesheaders. CBS will display eight games on its main network with a dozen on the CBS Sports Network.
The WNBA commissioner’s cup will be broadcast again on Amazon Prime Video.
