Carlos Alcaraz surpasses Roger Federer’s career winning percentage
Among ATP players who have played at least 200 matches in the Open era, the Spaniard now has the fourth-best career winning percentage.
Alcaraz’s record stands at 296-65, which translates to a win rate of 0.8199. That puts him just ahead of Federer, who finished his career with a 1,251-275 record and a 0.8198 winning percentage.

Carlos Alcaraz passes Cameron Norrie’s ‘tough’ test
He will now turn his attention to Daniil Medvedev, who recently knocked out Jack Draper, the reigning champion. Draper’s run has been a bright spot for British tennis, particularly with Norrie also qualifying for the last eight.

Norrie has always been a tough matchup for Alcaraz, and the Spaniard got one back in Indian Wells after losing to him in Paris last year.
Speaking after their quarter-final, Alcaraz admitted: “I struggle a lot with his style. Every time I play against him it’s always very difficult for me.”
“It’s a little confusing with his style, his topspin forehand (heavy), super high. And then the backhand, very flat and very low. Sometimes it’s tricky to play against him.
“I found the right shot. I played well. I played solid. I played aggressive when I could. I’m happy to play at this level.”

Norrie remains a tough opponent despite holding a 6-3 lead in their head-to-head bouts. Against Medvedev, he holds an even stronger 6-2 lead, and their next match will determine who faces Jannik Sinner or Alexander Zverev in the final at Indian Wells.
