Colorado will continue to be one of the busiest teams in college football this offseason. Under head coach Deion Sanders, the Buffs have been a prime landing spot for rookies and players in the transfer portal, and the future is bright in Boulder.
There are, however, many areas that Coach Prime needs to improve in his program over the coming months.
In this spirit, Andscape recently published a roundtable which examined Sanders’ first season in Boulder. On the subject of what needs to change for next season, all three authors mentioned the offensive and defensive lines.
Here’s what Andscape writer Jean-Jacques Taylor wrote:
Colorado needs to improve on the offensive and defensive lines. Period. They need to add talent and recruit high school linemen they can develop. That will allow them to better protect Sheduer — Colorado leads the NCAA in sacks allowed — and pass the ball better, which would take pressure off him. The talented guys from Colorado are good enough to win. Its lines are not.
While the defensive line certainly needs help, the O-line should be the top priority with quarterback safety Shedeur Sanders on the line. Fortunately, the Buffs are distribute offers and are in the running to land top-ranked offensive tackle in 2024, Jordan Seaton.
