Jaime Jaquez Jr. of the Miami Heat is scheduled to retire his No. 24 jersey at Camarillo High on Jan. 14 in a ceremony before the Scorpions’ game against Simi Valley.
The Heat face the Clippers on January 13 and the Lakers on January 15. So January 14 is the perfect day to honor the hometown hero from Camarillo who went on to play for UCLA and become a first-round draft pick for the Heat.
Loyalty. Perseverance. Hard work. The road to the NBA for Jaime Jaquez Jr. went through Camarillo and UCLA. He also played baseball at Camarillo. Dreams come true. He never stopped improving. No. 18 to the Miami Heat. pic.twitter.com/YQIpDe9gO8
