Caitlin Clark is doing the late night circuit…sort of.
THE WNBA Rookie of the Year 2024 will sit down with longtime Late Show host David Letterman on Monday, Dec. 2, at Ball State University in Muncie, Indiana – about an hour northeast of Indianapolis – for the final installment of the lecture series and distinguished Letterman professional workshops.
The series was created by the university in 2008 and featured distinguished guests like Oprah WinfreyMSNBC’s Rachel Maddow, ESPN reporter Holly Rowe, and filmmaker Spike Jonze, among others. Letterman is an Indianapolis native and Ball State alumnus, and was known as a big Indianapolis sports fan when he was on television (he is particularly fond of former Colts quarterback Peyton Manning) .
Clark, the No. 1 pick in the stupid 2024 WNBA, rewrote the WNBA rookie record book last season after a record-breaking career at Iowa, where she led the Hawk Eye to back-to-back Final Fours and back-to-back national championship game appearances. At just 22 years old, she is one of America’s most popular athletes. His presence in the WNBA this year helped the league set numerous audience and attendance records.
Event Tickets – which are free – will be available starting this Saturday, November 16, with priority given first to Ball State students. Students can collect a maximum of two tickets and each student must present a valid student ID at the time of entry. Ticket distribution to staff and faculty begins Sunday, and members of the public can obtain tickets in person beginning Monday, November 18, while supplies last. Each person is limited to two tickets.
The event will take place at Emens Auditorium on the Ball State campus. Emens has a capacity of just over 3,300 places.
