So far, a good part of Caitlin Clark’s offseason after winning the WNBA Rookie of the Year award, it was spent on the golf course.
For the second week in a row, the former University of Iowa All-American and Indiana Storm star will play a ceremonial role in a professional tournament when she plays nine holes in the RSM Classic Pro-Am at the Plantation Course at Sea Island Golf Club with fellow Iowan Zach Johnson.
Clark will join Johnson’s group, which includes PGA Tour commissioner Jay Monahan, for the last nine. Johnson starts at 8:30 a.m. on the front. Clark played with Johnson last year in the John Deere Classic Pro-Am.
Clark is also scheduled to compete in the RSM Classic Charity Putting competition around 3:30 p.m. at the Speedway Putting Course behind the Sea Island Lodge. Clark will serve as honorary caddy as children from the Boys & Girls Clubs of Southeast Georgia and Special Olympics athletes compete in putts for charity.
Clark competed in the Annika Pro-Am last week at Pelican Golf Club in Belleair, teaming with tournament host Annika Sorenstam for nine holes and world number one Nelly Korda for nine holes.
Golf Channel will air Clark’s highlights from the pro-am and putting competition on Golf Today at noon and Golf Central at 4 p.m.
