League One bottom side Burton Albion have signed Burnley left-back Owen Dodgson on loan for the remainder of the season.
The 21-year-old is the first signing for Brewers boss Gary Bowyer, who took the helm at Pirelli Stadium in December.
Upon his arrival, Bowyer said signatures would be needed to reshape his squad for the battle to avoid relegation despite the club making an English record 23 additions during the summer transfer window.
Dodgson – a former Manchester United youth player, who joined Burnley in November 2020 – has previously enjoyed loan spells with Barnsley and Rochdale, as well as Dundee in the Scottish Premiership.
“I spoke to the manager and we had some really positive conversations, so now I’m really excited to join and give my all for the club,” Dodgson said. the Brewers website.
