The secondary school, Yaya Diaby, totaled 7.5 bags as a recruit in 2023, finishing fifth in the defensive vote of the year. He became a full -time starter in 2024 and played 270 snaps more than as a recruit but made only 4.5 bags.

Diaby said bag statistics are not everything.

“In addition to bag numbers, I want I made major growth In all other categories, “said Diaby to the Podcast of the Pewter report.” I just want to thank myself and congratulate myself on this part, do you know? I know with certainty that the bag part will come.

Diaby was around the quarter all season with 20 shots of a quarter and, by Pro Football Focus, 65 pressures.

“I have the impression that it is overlooked because when people are looking for your name, they go directly to bags because you are a rusher on board,” said Diaby. “All the other statistics are only really displayed if you are really looking for it. I feel like I am improving a lot in everything, running the defense and my rush capacity towards the passes has improved considerably.

“Sometimes the game is a game of thumbs, you can get there but if you do not remove the quarterrier, you do not receive the bag. I am proud of myself, that’s what I said to myself for the last two weeks. I was just saying how proud of myself.

The team’s outdoor seconds combined for only 12 bags last season, encouraging them to sign Haason Reddick as a free agency. They expect more this season, led by Diaby, who said: “The part of the bag will come”.
