The Cleveland Browns overcame a blizzard to earn a dramatic 24-19 victory over the Pittsburgh Steelers in Ohio.
The Steelers seemed on track for victory when touchdown runs from Jaylen Warren and Calvin Austin helped them come back from 18-6 down in the fourth quarter to lead 19-18.
But the Browns immediately struck back as Jameis Winston led a nine-play, 45-yard drive that ended with Nick Chubb bursting into the end zone for his second touchdown of the game.
Steelers quarterback Russell Wilson attempted a Hail Mary with the final play, but it was ruled incomplete.
The match started in dry conditions before a snowstorm set in and gradually got worse as the competition progressed, with players struggling to keep their footing.
“I’ve never played in anything like this before,” Winston told ESPN. “We are very grateful to the staff for providing us with clear hand warmers and scrapers so we can go out there and do our best.”
The loss means the Steelers slip to 8-3 for the season but remain ahead of the Baltimore Ravens at the top of the AFC North. The Browns remain down after improving to 3-8.
