There were times when the status quo seemed to be threatened, but at the end of a chaotic night race in Bristol, the four pilots who entered the cutting line of the Nascar Cup Series qualifiers.
Faced with chances of victory, Josh Berry was an early victim of the very fast tire rope dilemmaHis right before taking fire from all the accumulation of rubber. Shane Van Gisbergen I did not even know how to approach a race like this and was an immediate non-factor.
Austin Dillon Was the third driver to undergo tire failure and was trapped three laps for most of the race and needs several above him to have problems. Left Alex Bowman As the only candidate to upset the expected result.

NOW, Austin Cindric And Chase Elliott The fact made it dramatic but their cushion before the race was too much to be overcome. Cindric has undergone a right front fire, similar to BerryBut was able to get him out and returned to the Four Tours track. Elliott was involved an accident and found himself at risk of being the last pilot on points Until Cindric has his problem.
It was an important secondary intrigue because Bowman threatened to win the race during the last passage and was left in front of the old tires. The restarts bite it all night.
“I thought our car, when we had a common green flag, was really good,” said Bowman. “He did a really bad bike for the restarts. I would go in turn 1 and I just hope to make the corner. For any reason, that would not take off.
“Then, after about five turns, go again. I couldn’t understand if it was something I was doing, not cleaning the tires enough, but I felt like it was cleaning up too much at some point. I don’t really know what was missing.”
For Cindric, it could have been worse than what it was because smoke almost forced him to get out of the car and in what could have been a more precarious point position. He could have lost up to five more points and Bowman would rather have advanced.
“I was going to wait until I saw a color other than smoked gray,” said Cindric. “I don’t think stress was there. I think everyone was fairly well prepared with the transfer of information once I returned to the right track and with a tire on ecuffic right edge, tires on the old left and an old tire on the right.
“I had a handful on the car and I got all the fire extinguisher stuff that burned the tires and dripping everywhere, and I was able to finish the race. Associated, and I’m sure it was crazy for a little while on paper.”

Bowman, who is still without a victory over the season, now turns his attention to win a race and create a momentum for next season, even if the circumstances have come closer that it probably seems.
“A Top 10 with stage points and a solid day – the guys from Pit Road have done a very good job,” said Bowman about the crew he inherited from motorsport Spire No. 77 this week. “I am sure that the guys from the 77 also did a good job.
But instead, it is Cindric who will now move forward in the round of 12.
“Everyone has kept composure,” said Cindric. “Credit to all guys from top to bottom, transfer information, be prepared, receive no penalty to pass over the wall. I mean everything that took place there and always be able to go out and lose only a handful of laps and be in the position we need. Each time we do great things, we do it as a team.”
