To announce the latest news from Merger of the PGA Tour with the LIV Golf League caught virtually everyone off guard would be an understatement.
Golf Twitter went wild this Tuesday morning, it was shock and awe and the reactions were fast and furious.
Since the PGA Tour vs. LIV debate began, there have been some prominent and outspoken critiques of the Saudi Arabia Public Investment Fund-backed separatist tour, including Golfweek’s Eamon Lynch and Golf Channel’s Brandel Chamblee.
A tweet he posted on May 31 essentially sums up his long-held view of LIV golf:

Chamblee’s last recorded tweet regarding the situation was posted on June 2 as part of an ongoing thread about Phil Mickelson in particular and Chamblee’s efforts to get Lefty to join Golf Channel to discuss the situation live at television.
