Not only the College of ESPN Match day The show will be without some longtime vocals as part of the show, but now it will also be without the song that has become synonymous with college football. Big & Rich announced Friday that it was ending its association with the program.
“College GameDay was an honor. It’s time to officially pass the torch after 16 incredible years! », added the group to a video they posted on social media post with the news. This means that College GameDay will have a new theme song for the first time in 16 years. The song “Comin’ to Your City” by Big & Rich will no longer be used.

“It’s been a great 16 years being the outspoken voice of College GameDay,” Big Kenny said in the video.
“And now we are thrilled to officially pass the torch to these extremely talented artists,” said John Rich. “We can’t say who yet, but tune in to ESPN on Saturday, September 2 at 9 a.m. to find out.”
