Kenny Gajewski was at Cowgirl Stadium on Friday to prepare to Oklahoma state softballopen from the series against Houston forest fire started to escape on the west side of Stillwater.

Pushed by winds blowing at 70 mph, fires have spread to neighborhoods and caused compulsory evacuations in the city.

In the middle of Friday afternoon, the OSU had moved the match from Friday to Saturday, but several hours later, the matches on Friday and Saturday had been canceled.

“It had a cocoded feeling,” said Gajewski.

Sunday, the cowgirls and the cougars had a single match, a 3-0 Victory for OsuBut this truncated series could have an impact on the conference race later in the season.

The OSU, one of the teams that should cope with the league crown, will have two less games in Big 12. In a spring outdoor sport, schedule changes sometimes occur because of the weather, but the teams generally make up the games.

It does not seem that Osu and Houston reproduce these two games.

In addition, the OSU has lost games that would have been played in front of its crowd at home, one of the biggest and best in Big 12.

But everyone around the OSU thought that the cancellations of the game had to be made. Over 70 houses in and around Stillwater have been destroyed by fires.

“It’s just devastating for so many people in this city,” said Gajewski. “I think our girls wear that too. You don’t know what to think. It’s difficult. “

Let’s go to the Big 12 power classification of this week:

1. Texas Tech

Save: 23-7, 5-1 Big 12

Last week’s classification: 1

An impressive scan of three games on the Baylor road. Red Raiders allowed the Bear A single round while making 21 points. Texas Tech Ace Nijaree Canady has withdrawn 18 years in 14 work sleeves.

2. Arizona

Save: 26-4, 4-2 Big 12

Last week’s classification: 2

Arizona has dismantled Utah, outclassing the Utes 19-6 to win its first Big 12 scan. The Wildcats added five circuits to their best total of the league of the league.

Save: 17-6, 2-2 Big 12

Last week’s classification: 3

The AS of the Cowgirl Ruby Meylan took advantage of the first match of the OSU against Houston, withdrawing 10 and allowing only one blow.

Save: 21-8, 4-2 Big 12

Last week’s classification: 5

Do not look now, but Arizona State joins Texas Tech as the only Big 12 teams to have two serial victories in three games. The Sun Devils took two of the UCF.

5. UCF

Save: 20-11-1, 3-3 Big 12

Last week’s classification: 4

Marked an impressive Run-Rule victory against Arizona State on Saturday. But it was sandwiched between the three -point defeats on Friday and Sunday.

6. Byu

Save: 16-6, 1-2 Big 12

Last week’s classification: 6

A weekend out of the Big 12 game, and the cougs almost had a week off. They entered a single match, a Run-Rule victory against Utah Tech.

7. Houston

Save: 16-8, 2-2 Big 12

Last week’s classification: 8

Despite only one safe blow, the cougars remained hard against the cowgirls. Would have been interesting to see them in a series of three games.

8. Kansas

Save: 13-10, 2-1 Big 12

Last week’s classification: 7

Crédit Kansas for having planned difficult games in mid-May in a week without a Big 12 series, but defeats against Wichita State and Omaha do not help the Jayhawks.

9. Baylor

Save: 12-17, 1-5 Big 12

Last week’s classification: 9

The Bears slide continues. Balayed by Texas Tech in a series that Baylor has only scored one round. Plus an 8-6 defeat against Lamar week of week. Not good.

10. Iowa statement

Save: 11-14, 1-2 Big 12

Last week’s classification: 10

More congratulations to a team to plan hard when he has no Big 12 series. The state of the Iowa went to Ole Miss, where he beat Samford but lost against North Dakota State and Ole Miss twice.

11. Utah

Save: 8-22, 0-3 Big 12

Last week’s classification: 11

Where did the powerful utes go? In addition to being swept by Arizona, Utah lost against Idaho State in a mid-4 match.
