Michigan is coming off a 27-9 loss to Ohio State, while Texas is coming off a nice 27-17 win over Texas A&M, the Aggies’ only loss of the year.
Michigan played Texas last season, a 31-12 Texas victory at Michigan Stadium. Texas is a lot different than it was a season ago with Arch Manning now the starting quarterback. Manning going against Michigan’s true freshman quarterback Bryce Underwood will bring national intrigue to the Citrus Bowl, as will marquee programs in Michigan and Texas.
Steve Sarkisian is 2-3 in bowl games as Texas head coach, while Michigan head coach Sherrone Moore is 1-0 in bowl games, including Michigan’s 19-13 win in the ReliaQuest Bowl.
