On Saturday, December 28, the Colorado Avalanche announced they had sent forward Ondrej Pavel and a 2027 third-round pick to the Nashville Predators in exchange for forward Juuso Parssinen.

The Finnish-born player, originally from Hämeenlinna, Finland, played 15 NHL games during the 2024-25 season with the Predators. During these 15 games, he recorded 5 points (2 goals, 3 assists), including four between November 6 and 11 in a streak of four consecutive games with at least one point.
In exchange for Parssinen, the Avalanche sent Ondrej Pavel to the Predators. Pavel made his NHL debut on November 7, 2023. He played in 2 games that season with the Avalanche, but did not record any points. In 14 games played with the Colorado Eagles (AHL), he only collected two assists.
